Ipsos I&O welcome panel app
For Ipsos I&O, we developed a mobile panel app that allows respondents to participate in surveys faster and more directly. As a result, the panel aligns better with mobile behavior and engagement increases.
mobile panel app for Ipsos I&O
Ipsos I&O works with a large research panel and relies on an active group of respondents to gather reliable insights. The existing platform offered a stable foundation for this, but aligned less and less well with how users participate in online services today.
More and more respondents are using their smartphone as their primary device. Within the existing platform, this caused friction because the experience was not designed for mobile use. As a result, participation required more effort than necessary and engagement declined, particularly among younger target groups.
challenge
The existing web platform did not adequately cater to mobile users, causing response times to be slower to get started and younger target groups in particular to be less effectively reached.
progress
A native app for iOS and Android that seamlessly integrates with the existing platform and makes participation in surveys accessible and direct.
impact
Faster response, better reach for mobile users, and higher engagement within the panel, particularly among younger target groups.
a mobile layer on top of existing systems
To improve this, we have developed a mobile application that acts as an extension of the existing platform. Instead of rebuilding everything from scratch, an extra layer has been added specifically aimed at mobile use.
The app gives panelists direct access to their profile, open surveys, and rewards. New questionnaires are actively highlighted via push notifications, encouraging users to respond faster.
technical integration and direct synchronization
On the technical side, the app is linked to the existing systems via API integrations. This ensures that data is synchronized directly and that surveys are immediately available in the app.
This connection required careful configuration so that everything continues to function and the user does not notice it. In this way, the technology supports the experience without taking center stage.
more control over reach and response
Through this combination of a mobile experience and strong technical integration, Ipsos I&O has gained more control over activating panel members. Surveys reach respondents faster, and the time between invitation and participation has been shortened.
Additionally, reach among mobile users has been increased, ensuring better distribution within the panel and more reliable research results.
collaboration
The collaboration is characterized by short lines of communication and direct coordination. This allows improvements to be implemented quickly and ensures the solution remains aligned with the needs of Ipsos I&O and the panel members.
