welcome scalability
We developed a new product configurator (CPQ) for CJC so that retailers can quickly and easily configure custom jeans.
challengechallenge
Re-develop the existing CPQ into a solid foundation on which further development can be made to enable the needs of retailers.
progress
A smart CPQ that gives the retailer the same familiar look and feel and is at the same time fully technically optimized.
impact
CJC is ready for the future with the new CPQ. There is now plenty of room for further development because new functionalities can be rolled out faster and better.
challenge
CJC has developed a product configurator (CPQ) for retailers in which jeans can be designed completely to measure. The first version of this was developed in Wordpress and CJC ran up against the maximum possibilities of this technology. Further developments such as a 2D representation of the designed jeans were not possible and the software was therefore not suitable for CJC's future plans.
SST was challenged to help CJC realize a new product configurator with the same look and feel, but based on a technique that CJC can fully develop in the coming years. A number of new wishes were immediately included, such as a 2D representation of the design, track and trace of orders and optimization of the shipping process.
progressprogress
By building the product configurator with different techniques but keeping the same look and feel, the
software is ready for the future, but there are no ambiguities for retailers.
Retailers feel like they are working in the same software as before, but with some extra options. CJC
has also gained more control over its services. For example, CJC can now manage the adjusted delivery
times itself during the holiday period, integrations have been made with payment and shipping systems
and inventory management has been expanded.
A Functional Design (FD) based on the previous CPQ and a design for the mobile display formed the basis on which we started. With an agile development process with biweekly deliveries, the renewed CPQ was built and tested step by step. The short-cycle realization and evaluation offered a lot of opportunity for jointly refining and adjusting the software, so that the version that best suited CJC could be built.
impactOne
One web application with a mobile friendly view of the product configurator.
One
Optimizing the shipping process through one printer application.
2D
Ability to view designed jeans in 2D view before placing the order.
Integrations
Integrations with multiple systems to optimize payments and shipping.
impact
By rebuilding the product configurator in a different technique, it is possible to build further on the
software. During the first phase, a number of these developments have already been implemented. For
example, sending packages now takes less time, orders can be followed via track and trace, CJC has more
extensive management options for delivery times and data security has been optimized.
CJC is now completely ready for the future and can now continue to grow.
